ComNet expands

by Mark Rowe

ComNet Europe Ltd, a division of ComNet Communication Networks, has expanded operations in the UK, doubling office and warehouse space.

ComNet offers fibre optic, copper and wireless video and data transmission equipment for the security and transport markets. Full product details are available at www.comnet.net.

Due to the demand for ComNet fibre optic, copper and wireless transmission products in EMEA, Asia-Pacific and South America, Leeds-based ComNet Europe has expanded by taking on an extra 3050 square feet. That space will be used for warehousing products, tech support and admin. ComNet recently added new warehouse and administration employees to support the product volume the company expects to move through the site.

Steve Clarke, ComNet Europe Managing Director, said: “When we started ComNet in 2009, we were aggressive in planning our facility needs. We thought the office and warehouse space we secured would last us for a long time. The demand for ComNet transmission products led us to a very high level of growth and the facility became too small, quickly. As a result, when the additional 3050 square feet became available, we eagerly took it. The additional space will be used to warehouse more product to speed up delivery times.”

Yunus Mamoniat EMEA/Asia Internal Sales & Marketing Manager, said: “Our goal has always been to be a one-stop resource for all our customers, offering transmission solutions over copper, optical fiber and wireless. Part of being that type of resource is having the product our customers need when they need it. Adding this space has a huge impact in speeding delivery.”

ComNet Europe will continue to be at 8 Turnberry Park Road, Gildersome, Morley, Leeds, now occupying the entire building.
