Hikvision, the video surveillance products company, recently released a new series of analogue dome cameras. This new “Effio-E” series is comprised of: the DS-2CC5281P(N)-VP 600TVL CCD dome camera, DS-2CC5281P(N)-AVPIR2 600TVL CCD IR dome, DS-2CC52A1P(N)-VP 700TVL CCD dome, and DS-2CC52A1P(N)-AVPIR2 700TVL CCD IR dome. Those cameras are based on Sony’s “Effio” series DSP, with features such as high horizontal resolutions, enhanced low-light capability, Digital Wide Dynamic Range, and Digital Noise Reduction.
Each of the above models performs in low-light with a minimum illumination of 0.001Lux@ F1.2 with AGC ON. Additionally, the DS-2CC5281P(N)-AVPIR2 600TVL CCD IR dome camera and DS-2CC52A1P(N)-AVPIR2 700TVL CCD IR dome camera incorporate a switchable IR cut filter for full day-night operability, as well as a built-in IR LED to capture super-high resolution images in total darkness within an IR range of 20m~30m. Notably, unlike other conventional analog cameras, these two cameras even support smart infra-red, giving image quality the makers say without fear of overexposure (because infrared light is automatically adjusted when the object draws closer to the camera).
Digital Noise Reduction helps eliminate noise in low-light conditions without creating ghosting and blurring; DWDR also ensures image clarity in strongly lit and contrasting places.
All four analogue domes feature a one-third inch SONY CCD image sensor with 600TVL / 700TVL ultra-high horizontal resolution. Compared with other analog camera series that offer 480 / 540 TVL horizontal resolution, this Hikvision series provides higher video detail and quality for identification purposes.
Hikvision’s IP66 housing offers additional protection against external elements, such as rain or dust; these cameras are also vandal-proofed to combat tampering and physical attacks, providing a solution for industry parks, office buildings, homes, and retail stores.
