4K camera

by Mark Rowe

The electronic security product distributor Norbain can now offer customers the Sony SNC-VM772R Outdoor IR Ruggedised camera.

The companies say it’s for city surveillance and transport markets. Built to meet the challenges faced by higher megapixel cameras, the product’s various operating modes allow users to achieve up to 30 images per second (ips), but also 90dB dynamic range (at 5ips) and competes with their Full HD models for low light sensitivity thanks to its 1.0 type sensor. Intelligent cropping and coding features support the management of bandwidth, the firms add.

By switching to evidence mode you can select lower resolution H.264 streaming while capturing a 20MP high resolution motion JPEG image (at 2,5ips),which is suitable the firms add for identification and forensic investigation.
