Securi-Guard has appointed Jim Hansford as Business Development Manager in the company’s fire and security division.

Jim brings experience in sales and installation of fire and security systems after 24 years in the security business. Jim will primarily develop new business among electrical contractors, architects and consultants – identified as key target areas for development.

Jim, 41, also sees part of his role as promoting awareness of the benefits and services that a local, independent company like Plymouth-based Securi-Guard can offer.

“This is a golden opportunity for me, the chance to work for an established total solutions provider with a tremendous reputation in the industry,” said Jim.

“I will be looking to play my own part in the Securi-Guard success story and help build lasting relationships with an exciting new client base.

Jim spent almost ten years as a Fire Systems Consultant with ADT Fire and Security, covering Devon and Cornwall, Securi-Guard’s core area.

He has also worked for a number of other security firms as an installation and service engineer and has completed a number of industry-specific training programmes related to health and safety assessments and fire detection and design.
