Regional director

Ampac Europe has appointed Robin Edmunds as regional director to head the company’s fire detection and alarm systems business in the UK, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Robin brings with him international fire industry experience. After more than 11 years as an expatriate General Manager working in the Middle East and South-East Asia for an oilfield service company, he has worked for a number of fire sector companies with international sales director responsibilities for distributor networks for the USA, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Russia and Africa.

A member of the BFPSA Council, Robin is a Chartered Engineer with a B.Eng. (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Liverpool and a Masters’ Degree in Business Administration. Married, Robin is a keen golfer, and a Japanese and French speaker.

Ampac Europe markets, assembles and distributes fire detection and alarm systems for commercial, industrial and multi residential buildings across Europe, and for the distribution of equipment to the Middle East and Africa. Based at Alton Hampshire, the company has recently won LPCB Approval for its new FireFinder PLUS addressable control panel for the European, African and Middle Eastern markets.
