by Mark Rowe

Members of the British Security Industry Association’s Export Council are preparing to exhibit at IFSEC Southeast Asia, the region’s security, fire and safety exhibition and conference, from September 2 to 4, in Kuala Lumpur.

Billed by organisers, UBM Malaysia, as the centre for local security buyers and decision makers, the event continues to grow year-on-year, with 350 exhibitors set to take part in 2015. Among them are 14 companies exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion, organised by UK security industry trade body, the British Security Industry Association (BSIA).

Daren Wood, Membership and Export Services Manager at the BSIA, says: “UK security companies enjoy an enviable global reputation for their expertise in producing innovative products and services, which meet stringent quality standards and are trusted by buyers around the world. As such, the UK Pavilion provides international buyers with a focal point to view the very latest in security technology from reputable, reliable and knowledgeable suppliers.”

The security alarm manufacturer, Pyronix Ltd, are exhibiting as part of the UK Pavilion in Hall 4 on stand UK02, where they will be showcasing their new HomeControl+ App, as well as their I-CAM/PT Internal and X-CAM/S External cameras, which allow users to control their security systems from the palm of their hand from anywhere. These IP cameras provide live video streaming for home and business monitoring to a user’s smart device. Also on display will be Pyronix’s new flush and surface-mount keypads, and designs in wired, wireless and hybrid control panels, backlit sounders as well as pet-immune and dual technology detectors.

Meanwhile, also as part of the UK Pavilion on stand UK01, the access product manufacturer, TDSi, will be showcasing the latest version of its security management software, EXgarde 4.4 and its new range of readers, as well as offering sales and technical advice to visitors. The main additions to EXgarde 4.4 include a new EXgarde web interface, integration with SimonsVoss SmartIntego wireless locking solutions, Tenant Event Split option, Elevator Dispatch facility and an updated EXtour Module. The new features will are designed for uses from giving landlords greater control over access rights, to ensuring elevator systems work in conjunction with access control to save users time in high-traffic buildings.

Outside of the UK pavilion, the security alarm specialist, Texecom, will be displaying its flagship Premier Elite Series on stand number K518. Established in 1986, Texecom’s products cover external and internal security requirements. The Premier Elite Series provides a single system architecture and peripheral range that scales from the simplest and smallest security applications to the largest and most complex. Recently upgraded with a new interface and key feature upgrades including push notifications and camera access, the Premier Elite Mobile Apps put end-users in control of their home security.

Daren Wood adds: “With a focus on innovation and product development, UK suppliers can provide buyers with the very latest in security expertise. Choosing security solutions from a BSIA member provides added peace of mind, as members are subject to stringent credentials checks and are required to adhere to the international quality standard, ISO9001.”
