Eaton at IFSEC 2016 show

by Mark Rowe

The electrical product company Eaton will demonstrate its latest life safety products at the IFSEC/FIREX 2016 show, which runs from 21 to 23 June at London ExCeL. The firm’s products cover fire, security and emergency lighting.

Eaton are at stand G180, Hall 2.

John Robb, segment manager, commercial buildings EMEA for Eaton, said: “Visitors will be able to see our latest product innovations and receive advice on navigating the complexities surrounding safe evacuation planning. Most businesses recognise that they have a legal and more obligation to ensure the safety of both staff members and visitors in the building. At a time when safety considerations are growing and becoming increasingly more diverse, it is vital that those responsible have put a robust evacuation strategy firmly in place. As an industry leader, we can help businesses install the right solutions so that people, property and business continuity are protected.”

Newly-launched products include the BiWire Ultra and BiWire Flexi fire alarms, for small and medium-sized premises. The two-wire BiWire Ultra, claimed to be the first of its type to offer compatibility with EN54-23 approved visual alarm devices, has been designed to identify fire hazards and notify occupants. The BiWire Flexi allows the installer to connect a BiWire System to an existing conventional system, for retrofit applications.

Also on display will be Eaton’s new Emergency Evacuation System, a distributed voice alarm and public address developed to use pre-recorded messages or live speech from a fire officer; the announcements are made via a public address, which helps owners and managers ensure the safety of visitors, who may not be aware of emergency procedures.

The i-on Gen2 is the next in the company’s industry alarm control panels; pictured. Designed with cyber security in mind and integrating camera, cloud and mobile technologies, the i-on30R, a 30-zone radio panel, and the i-on40H, a hybrid 40-zone panel, offer connectivity for commercial and technical installers. In the field of emergency lighting, Eaton’s latest include the CrystalWay exit sign luminaire and the CGLine+ automatic testing system.
