Bold at IFSEC

There has never been so much choice for CCTV users in the range and availability of surveillance products and monitoring services, write Bold Communications.  Megapixel cameras, analytics and the steady migration to IP transmission have joined the continuous stream of improvements and innovation.  With increased choice comes the greater need to manage the introduction of new technologies at the same time as maintaining the investment that has been made in legacy systems.

This trend has led to the need for management and operating tools which go beyond the role of single product control or even open platform solutions.  Security monitoring centres and control rooms have to operate efficiently, never more so than in the current climate.  Solution design and configuration is fundamental to the success of the monitoring centre, balancing resources against client demands.  The thinking behind the design of management solutions should focus on the objectives and process of monitoring and response rather than simply the mechanics of joining up lots of different security products.

Bold Gemini monitoring software has been developed aided by experience and input from many, diverse monitoring customers in the UK and other parts of the world.  Remote monitoring of alarms, assets, lone workers, access control, environmental services and CCTV are all handled within a single user interface, with the emphasis on clear process for the operator, an effective response for the client and efficiency for the control room.

For CCTV monitoring software, ease of use remains the fundamental design objective, but now Gemini MultiView offers more features and third party product support, including a fresh new interface  and colour palette optimised for Windows 7, native support for widescreen HD monitors and, overall, a faster, smoother operation.

All alarm and viewed CCTV can be instantly replayed at the same time as live video is viewed, alongside maps and plans and context sensitive operator instructions.   Gemini MultiView CCTV monitoring software is totally configurable according to the needs of the control room, from a single screen to multiple display workstations and video walls.  An unlimited number of sites and cameras can be monitored and the system fully supports BS5979 Cat II and BS8418 compliance for alarm receiving centres and remote video receiving centres.  MultiView CCTV is fully integrated with Gemini, allowing real integration at the customer record level.

The range and flexibility of customer and system reports in Gemini is a distinguishing system feature and has been further enhanced with a common, easy to use, filtering tool.  More search fields have been added enhancing the quick look up function to create customised reports in just a few seconds.  No need for complex and expensive third party reporting tools in order to access your own data.

Managing Director, Brian Kelly said: ”Our customers’ needs are extremely diverse and the feature range of our Gemini solution reflects this.  It is exciting to be working in partnership with the principal innovators in the monitoring sector and we are looking forward to extending that collaboration further at IFSEC 2012.”

Bold Gemini integrated security software is used in commercial, corporate and in-house, local authority, retail, banking, hospital and university monitoring control rooms.  The company will have the latest Gemini release on their stand C17 in Hall 4 at IFSEC 2012.
