The access control product manufacturer TDSi‘s head office in Poole, Dorset, hosted an event ‘Time for Tea’ to raise money for the company’s chosen charity for the year, Dorset and Wiltshire Children’s Hospices Julia’s House (registered charity number 1067125). TDSi’s Marketing Co-ordinator, Sophie Wilkins said: “What could be finer than holding a tea party in the British summer sunshine – all in aid of a very worthy cause. Making the most of the weather, the team gathered outside the office to enjoy sweet treats including scones, cupcakes, cheescake and brownies – along with copious amounts of tea of course!”
TDSi shared the event using the twitter hashtag: #Showusyourmug and posted selfies of the team enjoying the treats of the event. The team also took part in a ‘Guess how many teabags in the jar’ competition to raise further money, which was won by Internal Sales team member Louise White; correctly guessing 108 to win a prize.
Sophie added: “We raised just over £60 for Julia’s House and had a lot of fun in the process, suitably spurred on by online support from the charity. We also raised the important debate over the the pronunciation of the word ‘scone’ and the equally vital question of whether the jam or cream should be applied first!”
