The New Zealand-based security product company Gallagher plans to set up an office in Thailand. Sir William Gallagher, CEO of Gallagher, joined an official visit of New Zealand Prime Minister to Bangkok, as the company prepares to open an office in the region. The company has customers in more than 160 countries, and reports increasing demand from the Asian market.

Sir William said: “The on-going growth of the Asian market provides a range of opportunities and prospects for Gallagher. The region, like many others, is developing a new understanding of the importance of comprehensive security systems, which not only ensure the safety of employees at work but vitally reinforcing business continuity. Supported by our growing team and network of channel partners, the company is fully focused on further developing our presence in this innovative and industrious region.”

Gallagher’s equipment has already integrated access and perimeter installations at institutions including The Bank of Thailand and Siemens Airport Rail Link.

Gallagher’s Bangkok office will be open by the end of the year and company is recruiting staff to support this.

Gallagher’s products integrate electronic access control, intruder alarms, perimeter security systems and also integrate digital video, biometrics and people management. Its perimeter security product includes electric fence, wire tension and vibration sensors.

The 75th year celebrations of Gallagher Security Systems ran at the Banqueting Suite, Birmingham Council House in May 2013 which coincided with the IFSEC security show at the NEC in Birmingham.
