by Mark Rowe

ASSA ABLOY Access Control presented wireless locking for access control, under the ASSA ABLOY theme “Access your world” at IFSEC. Pictured are left to right Professional Security magazine MD Roy Cooper on the stand speaking with Tzachi Wiesenfeld of ASSA ABLOY.

Jointly presenting for the third consecutive year were HID Global, ASSA ABLOY, and ASSA ABLOY group companies Yale, Mul-T-Lock, Abloy, Traka and effeff. On stand C40 – C50 were the new Aperio L100 that offers a wireless lock range for security doors, with capability to transmit information on door status to an access system.

ASSA ABLOY Access Control also showcased the new Aperio PINpad escutcheon that offers access control for doors requiring multiple authentication, providing users with the opportunity to enter a PIN of four to eight characters, or utilise a card reader, or a combination of both.

Damian Marsh for ASSA ABLOY UK, said: “IFSEC continues to be a hugely important show for ASSA ABLOY, not only to showcase our latest product innovations, but it also provides us with an excellent platform to discuss latest trends and end user requirements in security, together as an industry. From our discussions at IFSEC this year and our own voice of customer research, we can continue to understand what is being asked for and deliver what the market needs. This way our products and solutions can continue to present cutting edge technology in access control, identification technology and entrance automation, but also add business value for the benefit of our customers and their customers at the same time.”
