IRM accredits, 11/09/2008
The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) has accredited the Certified Security Consultant (CSC) course offered by Anubis Associates Ltd.

IRM accreditation is achieved following a review of the course against current risk management standards and good practice by an IRM reviewer.

The CSC course is a management training programme already accredited by Buckinghamshire New University and Skills for Security. It is aimed at those employed, or who seek to gain employment, at a management level within the security industry and provides individuals with a broad, risk based, understanding of security consultancy services, enabling them to manage a range of security functions, and consult at the highest level within any organisation.

Carolyn Williams, IRM’s Development Manager, said: “Effective management of security risk is increasingly important in today’s world. There is a lot at stake and high quality specialist training is essential. We are very pleased to be able to add the CSC course to our range of accredited risk management programmes.”

Stuart Anderson, Managing Director of Anubis, said: “Security managers and consultants today need a firm and practical understanding of the management of risk, both directly in relation to the security function itself, and also to see the role of security in the context of the organisation’s wider risk profile. We are delighted that the risk management content of our course has been recognised by the leading educational organisation in the field.”
