The contract will see the browser-based visualisation tool integrated with Experian’s Hunter II fraud prevention system to allow users to visualise the information in chart format through i2 Analyst Notebook, which will allow them to see connections and anomalies within the data.
Retrieved data is made available in a Java applet, known as the iXv Viewer, which can be embedded in a webpage and made available to thousands of viewers instantly.
Designed with full API, the iXv Viewer allows the user to choose the features and functionality within their web page to suit them, it is claimed.
Tom Foxall, business development manager at i2, said: "Many organisations now provide web-enabled interfaces to their data. However, the data is generally presented in text-based reports, which means that information is not always quickly understood and complex relationships could be overlooked. Without fully grasping the relationships that exist in the data sets, vital information indicative of fraud may be missed."
And Nick Mothershaw, Director of Product Strategy and Best Practice (Fraud & Identity Solutions) at Experian Decision Analytics, said: "We are delighted to be able to offer i2’s iXv visualisation tool to our clients. It will enable them to see the complex inter-relationships between applications which Hunter II finds in an easily understood, graphical format. It will allow our users to see not only the relationships but the time sequence of events across multiple applications.
"Many of our clients already use i2’s Analyst Notebook so iXv will enable integration from Hunter II directly into this tool, resulting in tangible productivity benefits
"The i2 iXv SDK will give Experian the ability to integrate the Web-based visualisation technology into its existing data source infrastructure, which will assist in reducing the incidence and impact of fraud on individuals or businesses."
Tom added: "The provision of iXv SDK to Experian highlights the expansion of i2, as a world-leading visualisation software supplier to a wider range of web-based solutions providers." |
