Transec hosts buyers

by Mark Rowe

Ahead of the annual Transec (Transport Security Expo) show, organisers of the event are pointing to the Hosted Buyer programme as a networking event, providing a platform for selected exhibitors to meet relevant buyers in pre-arranged, face-to-face meetings.

In 2014, over 280 such meetings took place, launching buyer-supplier relationships. This year, more than 20 buyers have already signed up for the programme and, collectively, they have in excess of £47m of contracts to award, says Transec. They include:

oAbu Dhabi Ports
oAirports Company South Africa (ACSA)
oANA Aeroportos de Portugal
oBorder Force
oBridge Co. Kuwait
oBrinks Global Services
oBritish Transport Police
oDGRM Maritime
oDublin Airport Authority (DAA)
oEFACEC
oEurostar
oGACM – Mexico
oGlobalair – Air Europa
oHeathrow Airport
oHong Kong International Airport
oIberia
oLondon Luton Airport
oPKP Cargo
oPolish State Railways
oRotterdam The Hague Airport
oTAP Portugal

A matching service is for suppliers with the capabilities required to satisfy the requirements of the buyers they are scheduled to meet.

Peter Jones, CEO of Transport Security Expo’s organisers, Nineteen Events, said: “The Hosted Buyer programme at Transport Security Expo has proven to be very successful in the past. This year, with more than £47 million worth of business represented by buyers who have already confirmed their participation, it looks set to be more successful than ever.”

Transport Security Expo is now in its 13th edition. Registration is free and includes access to the exhibition as well as all conferences and workshops and the evening networking reception hosted on the first day, Wednesday, December 2 (pictured: the 2013 event).
