Online traveller tracking

by Mark Rowe

International SOS and Control Risks have unveiled the latest version of their online traveller tracking and risk mitigation product, TravelTracker. The new functionality provides organisations with an overview of the locations of all their travellers, regardless of how and where their trips were booked.

Referred to as Forward Travel Itinerary, the feature reduces the burden on the traveller or client administrator of manually entering details when travel is booked outside of the corporate travel agency. Forwarding travel confirmations also reduces the potential for manual data entry errors, the firms add.

Tim Daniel, Group Executive Vice President of International SOS, said: “Knowing where your people are is essential in times of crises. This functionality supports organisations that may not have corporate travel agencies in place. In addition, the new feature makes it easier for travellers to ensure their organisations can locate them should they choose to add a few personal days of travel to see the sights while travelling on business or during studies abroad, as these trips are often booked via third party sites and at the traveller’s personal expense.”

Travellers are able to forward confirmation emails of air, hotel and car reservations to be integrated with TravelTracker. The email integration is supported by WorldMate, Inc., a Carlson Wagonlit Travel company.

Amir Kirshenboim, WorldMate CEO, said: “We are excited to work on the TravelTracker integration. The project leverages the WorldMate Email Parsing API which allowed us to integrate quickly and results in a world-class experience for International SOS’ and Control Risks’ customers.”
