Maritime appointment

G4S Risk Management, a risk mitigation and secure support service part of the G4S contractor, has appointed Martin Ewence OBE, as its new Head of Maritime Security, Risk Consulting.

 

 

A former Commander in the Royal Navy, in which he served for 30 years, Martin has experience dealing with international maritime security issues, ranging from fishery protection through to command of a destroyer in war and high level diplomatic missions. His most recent appointment was as Chief of Staff to the NATO Counter Piracy Squadron in the Somali Basin. He is also a member of the Maritime Security Working Group within the Security in Complex Environments Group, the UK Government’s industry partner for the regulation and accreditation of private security providers on land and at sea.
