Seminar on working with BIM

by Mark Rowe

ASSA ABLOY UK Specification, a UK division of ASSA ABLOY, the physical security and door product company, has partnered with RIBA Journal to host a RIBA-accredited seminar on how new thinking around BIM (Building Information Modelling) can deliver greater value throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Titled ‘What are the realities of working in a BIM environment?’, the seminar will run on Monday, February 26, 2018 at the Royal Institute of British Architects. With BIM now a reality for clients, the event will offer a practical guide to BIM specification, as well as addressing the realities of working with BIM.

Tim Checketts, Specification Director at ASSA ABLOY UK Specification, says: “We’re proud to be partnering with RIBA Journal to present this RIBA-accredited technical seminar. BIM is now a valuable asset for the construction supply chain, so we wanted to invite speakers and panellists from across the field of construction to discuss the extent to which new thinking and new approaches to BIM can generate greater efficiencies and utilisation.

“The event will bring together architects, contractors and clients to assemble opinions from across the supply chain, and generate debate and discussion around BIM and its implications for the industry moving forward.”
