OSPAs summit

by Mark Rowe

Business Secretary Greg Clark will provide the keynote address at the OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit, on Thursday, March 1 at the Royal Lancaster London.

In his talk the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy will review the Industrial Strategy, and Brexit; and offer some thoughts on the implications and opportunities for business and the security sector.

Other confirmed speakers include Ian Dyson QPM, Commissioner, City of London Police who will give a police perspective on private and public partnerships in the security industry; Andrew Thomson, Director of Property Management, Real Estate Management (UK) Limited – talking about dealing with ‘the board’ on security; Craig Robb, Chief Commercial Officer, Securitas UK, on the transformation of the security industry and why investment in technology is essential; and an ex offender to provide his perspective on the state of security and how it so often fails.

Organisers say the afternoon will challenge good and bad perceptions about security and promises a lively debate. The event is sponsored by Securitas and organised with the support of the Security Commonwealth.
