Online distance learning

by Mark Rowe

Hikvision, with help from the training company Tavcom, has introduced online distance learning to help dealers and installers get up to speed on Hikvision video products.

Three online training modules, which are available free to Hikvision customers, let them in their own time learn about the features built into the company’s cameras, DVRs and software.

Established in 2001, Hikvision has evolved from a small company initially only employing 28 people into a global enterprise that now has more than 8,000 employees, including over 2,800 R&D engineers. The company’s cameras and recording solutions have been deployed in over 100 countries.

Tony Yang, UK General Manager for Hikvision, said: “Tavcom was the automatic choice following the decision to work with an independent training company that could offer expert and objective advice. We were well aware of Tavcom’s excellent reputation for conducting traditional BTEC certificated classroom training courses, but it was the quality and user-friendliness of Tavcom’s own fully interactive distance learning courses which persuaded us that they could also do a great job helping us build our own dedicated branded online training programme.”

Hikvision customers who wish to register their interest in taking advantage of the training modules can do so by emailing: [email protected].
