Internet advice

by Mark Rowe

An information security awareness consultancy has issued a report, highlighting the need for internet users to take personal responsibility for online security. The consultancy offers practical advice and tips for protecting against online fraud on The Security Company’s web site at: http://www.thesecurityco.com/news/expert-comment/online-behaviour-is-still-risky/.

Lisa Spriggs, Marketing Co-ordinator at Northamptonshire-based The Security Company, says: “How much longer will organisations continue to pay for the risky behaviour of their customers online? There has to be a transition by the general public from awareness of online risks to secure behaviour if the battle against cybercrime is to be won. It’s time we took responsibility for our actions.”
