Infosec test centres

by Mark Rowe

(ISC)2 (“ISC-squared”), the not-for-profit information security professional body and administrators of the CISSP® and CSSLP® , has launched new regional test centres for computerised examinations across the UK through its existing relationship with Pearson VUE . Providing candidates easy access to local exam venues to help them achieve their personal development goals, this takes the total of (ISC)2 credential test centres in the UK to over 30, covering the entire country, including Greater London, The Midlands, Northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

These additional test centres will provide further convenience to information security professionals who are pursuing certification, minimising disruption as they balance work pressures and professional development goals. Candidates can schedule an exam online 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for any time a test centre is open by visiting http://www.pearsonvue.com/isc2/.

“With the growing demand for certification and the dire need for continuous professional development, we are committed to helping professionals achieve their goals, and in turn addressing some of the larger infosecurity skills challenges we’re facing today,” said John Colley, managing director, (ISC)2 EMEA. “With such an extensive network of exam centres, we are ensuring that accessibility does not present a barrier to people’s ability to pursue professional certification. Candidates can now schedule the exams when and where they want; reducing the need to incur travel and accommodation costs.”

These (ISC)2 approved Pearson Professional Centres are wholly owned by Pearson VUE.

(ISC)2 switched to computer-based exam delivery for all its certifications in June 2012. The expansion of the number of test centres in the UK follows the launch of Live Online training for EMEA earlier this month, developed to improve accessibility to (ISC)2 education.
