Fraud talk

You have seen or read them – at Portsmouth on Tuesday, June 3 you can meet them, at the University of Portsmouth annual fraud conference.

Among the speakers is the Lithuanian head of security Audrius Sapola, whose article on worldwide fraud over the phone featured in our February issue.

Other speakers invited include the former NHS counter-fraud head Jim Gee, who featured in a recent BBC Panorama documentary; and Mark Surguy, Partner at law firm Eversheds, the chairman of the Midlands Fraud Forum, featured last issue; and Jo Vasey, Senior Investigator at,VFM Services on how to get an insurance fraudster to give up their bogus claim.

Topics include internal audit and forensic accounting, women fraudsters, art fraud, pension liberation fraud, and measuring and prosecuting fraud. Pictured is last year’s event, featured in the July 2013 print issue of Professional Security magazine.
