Event diploma in US launch

by Mark Rowe

An event stewarding training company is to launch its Level 5 Diploma in Crowd Science and Risk Analysis into the United States market.

The qualification, which is designed for people who plan and manage the movement of people at large scale events and festivals, was launched by eResponse Crowd Safety in Australia last year and has since seen over 300 people gain the industry qualification.

The three-day course will launch in September with sessions in Fort Lauderdale and Los Angeles and will be delivered in a joint venture with American-based, The Crowd Management Company.

Andy Hollinson, Operations Director of eResponse Crowd Safety, pictured, said: “Our Level 5 Diploma has been welcomed across the sector and hundreds more people will now have the opportunity to gain the industry’s top qualification in North America. Since taking the Diploma to Australia we have been delivering courses across the world and so moving into the United States was the next natural step for us. It’s exciting to be partnering with the Crowd Safety Management Company who share our passion for delivering the best training and development courses possible.

“We have already seen a huge interest and enquiries for the two courses we’re launching in September from people across the States.”

Andrew McQuillan, director of The Crowd Management Company LLC added: “During my travels around USA and working with some sensational venues and events, I am always pleasantly surprised to see that professionals who work with crowds are always wanting to improve their academic qualifications in this area. It thrills me to bring the Level 5 Diploma in Crowd Science to the USA as I know this is something that will really appeal to these professionals and give them invaluable tools when considering crowd and public safety at events”
