The Crisis Management Conference (CMC) 2016 has announced that TalkTalk’s Director of Corporate Affairs and Regulation, Jessica Lennard, will be the keynote speaker for the fourth annual conference in September.
Jessica worked at the heart of the telecoms group’s response to their recent data breach and will share how it was managed behind the scenes and the lessons learnt for best practice crisis management, crisis leadership and crisis communication.
CMC 2016 will examine how organisations are preparing for, and responding to, unknown and unfamiliar risks. Crises, such as TalkTalk’s cyber attack, recent terror attacks in Europe and the Middle East and Volkswagen’s emissions scandal, are reminders, the event organisers say, of why crisis management is about preparing your leaders and teams to respond to the unimaginable – where they will need to make career, organisation and even corporate history-defining decisions with little information, and with the world watching.
CMC is a one-day event that brings together figures in crisis management, crisis communication and business continuity to hear how global organisations are preparing to protect their people, performance and reputation, addressing stakeholder needs and delivering effective strategies to manage crises. Other speakers include the Director of Safety at NATS, Head of Technology at the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office, the Global HR Crisis and Continuity Lead at BP and Weir Group’s former General Counsel.
