Countermeasures training course

by Mark Rowe

The covert surveillance consultancy Esoteric reports the accreditation of its TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures) training course.

The course covers all aspects of TSCM, including use of search equipment and physical and technical search techniques for rooms, vehicles and telephones, accredited by Skills for Security, a recognised UCAS body.

This classroom-based course goes through the physical and technical countermeasures survey process: evaluating the threat, producing a survey procedure, conducting the physical and electronic inspection, to producing a report, with recommendations for the information security of a site or organisation.

The consultants add that their course includes theoretical study and a variety of practical scenarios. The course is designed for those involved with security and TSCM operations and is suitable for anyone with the responsibility for securing sensitive sites or information, conducting physical TSCM surveys within their organisation and personnel tasked with interpreting TSCM survey reports.
