BIM webinar

by Mark Rowe

Hochiki Europe is hosting a webinar titled “What You Need to Know about BIM for Today and Tomorrow” at 1pm on Thursday, April 14, 2016. The session will explore how, with the 2016 Government deadline for the adoption of BIM Level 2 on all centrally procured projects nearing, life safety system installers and building managers can cope with new demands.

Paul Adams, marketing manager at Hochiki Europe, will be joined by Rob Clark, BIM consultant at specialist training firm, Excitech. They will be taking questions and covering:

What does BIM mean
How BIM is used in the fire industry
Practical advice for installers dealing with BIM
Where the demand for BIM will come from

Paul said: “The arrival of the BIM Level 2 deadline marks a major shift in the way we design, build and even maintain new developments. However, adopting it across the fire safety and overall construction sector does bring challenges. By exploring these challenges with fellow professionals now, we can work together to identify ways to ease the transition to BIM and ensure the new approach truly lives up to its potential to optimise efficiency, cut costs and deliver more effective buildings.”
