Ambulance show at Counter Terror Expo

by Mark Rowe

Ambition, now in its 4th edition, is a show for Ambulance Services and pre-hospital emergency responders. This year’s event will be co-located with Counter Terror Expo 2014 at London’s Olympia from April 29 to 30.

The organisers say that this reflects the growing importance of interoperability in maintaining resilience in the event of particularly untoward or challenging events- from natural disasters like flooding to building collapses or terrorist attacks. Organised by Clarion Events, Ambition 2014 is being sponsored by Excelerate Technology Ltd, the UK provider of a privately managed broadband network dedicated to emergency incident management.

Carl Rees, founder of Ambition, said: “We’re delighted that Excelerate has agreed to support Ambition 2014, an event that we hope will provide significant networking and learning opportunities for those involved in the provision of pre-hospital healthcare as well as those responsible for civil contingencies and anti-terror planning. Our aim is to provide a high quality programme of useful content that allows professionals of all levels to develop their knowledge and capabilities.”

And Nicola Savage, Excelerate’s Sales and Marketing Director, added: “We have worked with the NHS Ambulance Service at a national level for over eight years and Ambition 2014 will bring together everyone involved in overcoming the latest challenges and striving for the best practices. Our focus is to demonstrate how our technology and solutions are evolving in direct response to customers’ operational requirements.”

Ambition 2014 will host an exhibition of suppliers to the pre-hospital care market, as well as free to attend workshops, live demonstrations and a one day conference, Ambition 2014: Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response, on 29 April 2014.
