The Israeli firm New ProImage Limited is launching a new ‘Brand Protection and Anti-Counterfeiting’ division. The division will initially focus on marketing the Agfa Graphics :Fortuna software.

Developed for packaging and other security applications, when implemented the software will add security to any printed material whilst it is being printed, the company adds.

Ilan Vinner, New ProImage CEO says: “:Fortuna will make it much easier to recognize a counterfeit product. Manufacturers and brand owners invest an enormous amount of money in building their brand recognition and value. This product will help them protect that investment.”

ProImage has appointed Max Astor as Sales Director for the new Brand Protection and Anti-Counterfeiting division. He reports to Rick Shafranek, VP of Sales and Marketing, New ProImage America.

Mr Astor has 30 years printing industry experience with firms that include Sonoco, Graphic Packaging and Banta Corporation.

New ProImage is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Agfa-Gevaert Corporation. See: http://www.new-proimage.com/Solutions/Security_Solutions/Fortuna/
