For over ten years, Videx Security has had a close working relationship with Kier Sheffield LLP, who in partnership with Sheffield Homes, have secured a major two year contract to secure multiple occupancy dwellings across the city with door entry and access control equipment.
The specification for the door entry equipment and access control security installed and supplied by Videx Security has evolved through the close working relations between all parties. The systems specified cover high, medium and low risk installations. Low rise audio door entry with fob access will be installed at over 400 sites throughout the city.
All tenant access control equipment will be linked via GSM telephone technology to local Sheffield home/offices who will administer the issuing and up dating of tenants’ proximity fobs. ·All door entry equipment has been designed to incorporate DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) facilities which includes large, high contrast two-line, 16 character LCD displays, full voice annunciation of call progress, high visibility call buttons, an amplifier for the hard of hearing and a proximity fob access control reader.
Access control and GSM modules are housed in IP rated lockable cabinets and full line isolation protects the system in the event of tenant abuse or telephone failure. A BST/GMT time clock is also employed to operate the main doors of buildings for tradespersons during specific hours of the day with different operational time profiles for weekends.
