by msecadm4921

Verint® Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VRNT) today announced that Falabella is implementing its Nextiva® IP video management software, along with Nextiva single- and multi-port encoders, and IP cameras, in 33 stores and distribution facilities across Chile. With the Nextiva solution, the retailer will benefit from robust security and mission-critical loss prevention capabilities that enable personnel to monitor facilities 24/7 in real-time and help proactively safeguard critical areas, assets and resources.

Falabella operates department stores, home improvement centers, grocery hypermarkets, financial retail operations and real estate ventures in locations throughout Chile, Peru, Argentina and Colobia.

The organization sells a wide variety of merchandise, including apparel, home furnishings, electronics and sporting

goods. With 65,000 employees and annual revenue of more than $6.9 billion, Falabella is one of the largest retailers in South America.

Using Verint’s comprehensive Nextiva IP video solution, Falabella will be able to capture high-quality video images, optimize bandwidth and storage utilization, leverage flexible video search capabilities, and benefit from programmable video retention and storage at a central monitoring facility. With its enterprise-class multi-site capabilities, Nextiva HealthCheckTM monitoring application and the ability to interface with point-of-sale systems, the Nextiva IP video platform is poised to help Falabella reduce shrinkage, manage liability and loss, and leverage video to increase sales and operational efficiency. Implementation of the Nextiva solution is currently in process, following Falabella’s most recent investment in Verint technology in October 2011.

“We’re pleased to provide Falabella with an enterprise-class solution designed to help prevent loss, increase efficiency, and safeguard people and property across its extensive network of facilities,” says Debjit Das, vice president of global marketing, Verint Video Intelligence SolutionsTM. “As a leading global provider of networked video solutions, we are committed to delivering high reliability, performance and video quality to help our customers achieve their business requirements and advance their operations.”
