The TelGuard Millennium and TelGuard Bespoke home telephone-based systems are being introduced at the access control manufacturer?s stand B87 at IFSEC. TelGuard?s computer-based technology provides secure access without older-style hard-wiring requirements, using a premises? existing home ?phone, the manufacturer reports. The Millennium model, designed for multiple housing unit installations such as residential parks and apartment blocks features an alpha numeric keyboard linked to an LCD display and offering up to 1000 16 digit telephone number options. The Bespoke, suitable for smaller installations, offers from one to nine individual entry buttons each storing a 16-digit home telephone number. In both models there is a secondary number dial facility, full duplex speech, optional trades entry via an inbuilt timer and optional CCTV interface (linked to home TV if required). The Millennium also offers coded entry via up to 240 secure PIN numbers for residents and employees.
