With the Flashguard range of security sounders, customers have the flexibility of choosing a backplate, outer cover and lens combination to suit an installation, report product firm Klaxon Signals Limited.
There are five standard sounder units in the range; the Xtra and Xpro-H, both horizontally mounted, and the XL+, Xpro-V and Xtravert, vertically mounted. All have a xenon strobe and weatherproof to IP 55 and, when correctly configured, are suitable for use in EN50131/PD6662 systems to security grade 3, according to the makers.
Choice of backplates
Standard units are available with a choice of Premier or Value backplates, and have an area available for a screen print logo. Units fitted with the Premier backplate benefit from a 118dB sound output thanks to the twin piezo design. Units fitted with the single piezo Value backplate have a sound output of 110dB. Two double-skinned security sounders are available for applications where more internal protection is required; the horizontally mounted Xcluder, which has an all-round stainless steel case, and the vertically mounted Ultra, which has a durable 3mm polycarbonate cover and choice of lid and lens covers. The Minn-XW is a compact external sounder and strobe unit with a unique two part assembly that makes it quick and easy to install, it is claimed. Weatherproof to IP 65, it is ideal for residential use.
Motor-driven siren
Also available as part of the range are the Master Blaster – a motor-driven siren designed for use as an internal/external supplementary security sounder, and the Inferno – a powerful internal security sounder that effectively stops intruders in their tracks.
