Network Variety

by msecadm4921

CCTV manufacturer Panasonic and Quadrox have announced that Panasonic will provide Quadrox’s WebCCTV Network Video Recorder products for use with Panasonic network cameras, in the US.

The applications are in IT and monitoring, the firms add.

"More and more customers are turning to Panasonic IP-addressable network cameras for their remote monitoring needs, because network cameras that support Ethernet based video transmission provide incredible features, flexibility and expandability in a cost-efficient solution, viewable from a variety of devices including web browsers, cell phones, PDAs and even TVs when properly equipped," said Michael Timar, Panasonic marketing manager for IP products.

"A system pairing Panasonic IP-based network cameras with Quadrox network video recorders offers customers a more complete solution for managing their business or home. Customers appreciate the ability to remotely monitor many aspects of their business, and are excited by the option to add recording capability with the convenience of archiving, e-mail notification on alarm, fast digital search and retrieval functions, motion detection with detection zones, high-resolution image quality, multiple user access, and much, much more."

Quadrox WebCCTV uses a combination of 4 IT standards (Standard compression codecs, ASF, OPC & SNMP), giving the customers freedom in selecting the third party hardware and software for monitoring and security, it is claimed.

In North America, Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company has been appointed a key provider of Quadrox’s WebCCTV NVR systems
