Mini Domes

by msecadm4921

The Sarix camera series from Pelco has now expanded to include two new mini dome cameras. Pre-sale is now underway for the IM-E Series Environmental and IM-V Series Vandal-Resistant fixed mini domes. With the addition of these new cameras, the Sarix IM series now includes indoor, outdoor and vandal-resistant models.

Sara Scroggins, Pelco by Schneider Electric Senior Product Marketing Manager, says: “The IM-V and IM-E series deliver a compact and affordable solution for customers looking to use the award-winning Sarix technology platform in even the most challenging environments. These two cameras raise the bar for megapixel mini dome performance by delivering auto focus on every camera, low light performance down to 0.03 lux, up to 1.3 megapixel resolution, and a built-in camera sabotage analytic. With this level of functionality the IM-V and IM-E series offer a truly remarkable value to our customers.”

The US manufacturers add that the IM-V Series vandal-resistant camera is suitable for prisons, facilities, schools, apartment buildings, or anywhere video security equipment could be at risk. The IM-E Series Environmental camera is an indoor/outdoor system ready for rain, snow or heat.

“This is the latest example of how our imaging engineers have been able to adopt the Sarix technology platform to deliver a new solution for the industry,” Scroggins says. “Our imaging engineers have made tremendous advances with Sarix technology, releasing more than 45 cameras in the first year. This new camera series marks the start of another great year with many more Sarix camera releases to come.”

Sarix IM-E Series and IM-V Series cameras start shipping in January 2011 but customers can pre-order units.
