The IFSEC security exhibition is branching out overseas.
IFSEC India is to run from 25-27 October 2007 at Pragati Maidan in Delhi, to cater for the whole of the South Asian region, one of the fastest growing markets in the world, report organisers.
The expo is a joint venture between IFSEC organiser CMP Information and CMP Asia’s Mumbai office. Organisers put the Indian security market at an estimated US$500 million, and growing at around 30% per year. The market is particularly unique due to the lack of old legacy security systems in operation. It is therefore at the forefront of technological advances and the market is eager to embrace the latest security, fire and building managements systems and solutions, it is claimed.
What they say
Event director, James Blue, said of the launch: “Recognising the wealth of business opportunities present in India’s rapidly developing and largely unpenetrated security solutions sector, IFSEC India will provide the ideal location for the most innovative and dynamic security providers to meet thousands of high quality visitors from all over the region. Extending the IFSEC brand to India was a natural progression and an obvious choice for our first foray into overseas markets. We expect to announce some more exciting developments shortly.” Also promised is an educational programme with free seminar sessions and a conference covering security topics.
IFSEC India 2007 will be co-located with Internal Security (IS), which will also take place at Pragati Maidan from 25-27 October 2007. IS is aimed at the police and paramilitary sector.
