Vision Fire & Security is launching an evidential quality long term digital video recorder (DVR) with remote access. The ADPRO FastTrace DVR offers tape-free digital archiving combined with access to stored or live video and instant retrieval of specific events or transactions, running over networks or telecommunication lines.
Embedded software
FastTrace employs embedded software to deliver digital storage and remote access over limited bandwidth networks, the manufacturers report. A target markets for the product is banking and financial institutions where it is suited to tackling the risk of fraud and deception, requiring no tape changes or local staff interaction, the makers say. It can also be used to protect branch floor staff and assets from a security threat, with the option of programming to a central monitoring station which can respond to live video images transmitted from the site on the activation of an alarm or system event (the pressing of a panic button or a camera failure). For ATM protection, selected cameras can be set to record only when transactions occur to maximise use of disk storage space and ensure the availability of long-term video.
What they say
FastTrace?s remote monitoring feature is also applicable to utilities, telecoms and transportation. The product is available in two options, each in a range of High Density Disk (HDD) configurations (from one to four disks per unit): the Model 5010 with a recording capability of 10 cameras at one image per second for 120 days (300 GB of disk space); the Model 5020 with a recording capability of 20 cameras at one image per second for 60 days (300 GB of disk space). Zsuzsanna Csuthi, Marketing Manager, says: ?It combines high quality ADPRO transmission technology with excellent, user-friendly features, making it the perfect one-box solution for remote recording and security.?
