The Chief Security Officer (CSO) Summit 2007 runs in Amsterdam from November 28 to 30.
While the three-day event is aimed at and has speakers to do with corporate security from across Europe, there’s a strong UK flavour. Among the invited speakers on day one are Ken Matthews, former police officer and global director of corporate security at TNT; Martin Smith, of consultancy The Security Company (International); and Peter French of SSR Personnel. Speaking on terrorism: Michael Chandler, the former British Army officer now a consultant. And on the IT side, Ed Gibson, the former FBI man now security adviser at Microsoft in the UK; and Tony Neate, formerly of the National Hi-Tech Crime Unit, now at consultants Orthus.
On day two, there’s a fraud and corruption theme. Speakers invited include Alan Day, former Army man now head of fraud and security at Transport for London; and Allan McDonagh, Nigel Iyer and Caroline Waddicor of consultants Hibis Europe. And day three speakers include Phul Boskett, former RUC policeman now chief security officer at the International Criminal Courts in the Netherlands; Rick McConnell, the former Kraft security man now chief security officer for Euroclear in Belgium; and Richard Holllis of Orthus, on electronic eavesdropping. And speaking on kidnapping and extortion, Paul Mills, of Special Contingency Risks.
