Residential division

by Mark Rowe

A Stoke-on-Trent-based security installer is creating a specialist residential division.

Security Services Group recently launched security packages for homeowners. The range offers three levels of cover – ‘Safe’, ‘Safer’ and ‘Safest’.
At the entry level the ‘Safe’ package offers a standard alarm system, while the ‘Safer’ level builds in police response. Those opting for the ‘Safest’ package have a two-camera CCTV system that links to a smart phone or tablet device.
The Group, which has offices in Stoke and Shrewsbury, has been around for more than 30 years. They installation and management of CCTV, burglar alarms, fire alarms, data networking and door access systems across the UK.

Managing Director, Adrian McLaughlin, pictured, sees the development of the residential division as a major priority in the immediate future. He said: “We’ve built our reputation on providing a first class service to residential, commercial, retail and public sector customers across the UK. However, we’ve recently seen an upturn in the domestic market and a demand for quality security products that is a cut above the basic ‘alarm in a box’ sets that are widely available. We have been sensitive to the economic climate and are able to offer real quality and value across our new range, which includes a full range of maintenance packages to suit individual needs and budget. All our systems are installed by our experienced engineers and come with our full back-up and guarantee.”

The Group also has exciting plans to develop its brands and has recently introduced robotic man and dog characters to make the firm recognisable. Adrian added: “We like the way that everyone knows who Michelin are because of the Michelin Man. We hope our new characters will become just as popular and will help to reinforce our reputation for great products and service. We are looking for a name for our robots and will soon be announcing a prize competition for the best names – watch this space!”
