The cover story, Listening to the Victim, is about the volunteer work of Victim Support. Crawford Chalmers who has done voluntary support to witnesses giving evidence in court, was interviewed by Mark Rowe.

Besides the usual pages devoted to ‘spending the budget’, new hires and job moves, and new products and services, and regular columnists Jim Gannon and Una Riley in the States, the October issue features Project Servator in Glasgow, the nuclear security sector according to a regulator’s annual report, and the latest editor’s lunch, this time at Nomura Bank in the City of London, to hear what a group of banking security professionals had to say about their work.

There’s also a preview of the final ST14 conference-exhibition of the year, by Professional Security magazine, on Tuesday, October 28 at the Park Inn Heathrow, over the road from the west London airport, pictured.
