Quadrant Security Group (QSG) , has had two projects shortlisted for ‘Security Project or Installation of the Year’ at this year’s IFSEC Awards . One is based on overcoming logistical challenges, and the second a local authority project seeking cost efficiency and revenue generation. They are designing and installing a wholly temporary surveillance system (spanning land and sea) to help Dorset Police achieve maximum coverage and control of CCTV for 2012 Olympic sailing events at Portland and Weymouth; and Great Yarmouth Borough Council – seeking to enable a cost neutral surveillance network and eventually generate income for the town.

Phil Doyle, managing director of QSG, said: “The lifeblood of our business is developing and installing solutions that meet very distinctive client needs. Our ethos is to innovate, advise, install and protect, in other words – be there from start to finish on specialist security surveillance projects. That’s why it is so wonderful to be recognised by our industry peers in this way and get a double nomination.”

Charlie Cracknell, IFSEC Event Director, said: “We have been delighted by the huge number of entrants to the IFSEC & FIREX Awards this year. As the security and fire industries becoming increasingly integrated, acknowledging the significant impact they have on each other is crucial. We are excited to be hosting the combined awards ceremony and wish the finalists the best of luck!”
