UBM Live – the organiser of IFSEC International and FIREX International, the annual security and fire events at the NEC – has announced the shortlist for the IFSEC and FIREX Industry Awards 2013.

Judges from the security and fire industries include: Alex Carmichael (technical director at the British Security Industry Association), Mick Phipps (head of loss prevention at Wilkinson), Mike Smalley (of the MoD Security Services Group), Graham Ellicott (CEO of the Fire Industry Association), Jeff Little OBE (CEO at the National Security Inspectorate) and Wilf Butcher (CEO, Association for Specialist Fire Protection).
Awards will be presented during the week of IFSEC International and FIREX International 2013 at a black tie gala dinner on Monday, May 13 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel. Gerry Dunphy, FIREX Sales Director, said: “The IFSEC and FIREX Awards are a great way of celebrating excellence in product design, innovation and installation. As the cross-pollination between the fire and security sectors increases, I am eager to see what the winners have achieved.
