At the Insurance Fraud Bureau (IFB), Stuart Gee has joined as the new Head of Operations. Stuart started on December 2 with responsibility for the operations team and of analysts developing networks, managing investigations and liaising with law enforcement.

The operations team is managing over 60 live fraud investigations across the UK with a total value of over £80m.

Stuart joins the bureau with 15 years’ counter fraud experience in the field of investigations and insurance, most recently with RiverStone Insurance (previously Brit Insurance), as the Claims Intervention Manager, where he brought in and maintained a new counter fraud strategy across all line of their UK Retail portfolio.

Ben Fletcher, IFB Director said: “I’m delighted to welcome Stuart to the IFB. The Head of Operations is an important role, leading a team that is pivotal to our success. I have no doubt that Stuart’s knowledge and experience will be valuable assets as we continue to identify organised fraud and help ensure they are brought to justice.”

And Stuart Gee said: “Being asked to lead the operations team at the IFB is a real honour. The IFB’s dedication and passion to reduce financial crime is unrelenting and I’m delighted to have this opportunity to contribute directly towards the whole industry’s fight against insurance fraud.”
