Rampton contract

by Mark Rowe

A five year contract valued at £15m with Nottinghamshire Healthcare, a healthcare service provider, has gone to MITIE, the FTSE 250 outsourcing company.

Nottinghamshire Healthcare provides mental health, learning disability and community care, with over 8,800 employees in the Nottinghamshire area.

MITIE will deliver a number of FM services including reactive breakdowns, engineering maintenance, and fabric maintenance. The contract also involves the servicing of security systems, including CCTV, fire protection and access control.

The sites will include two medium secure units – Arnold Lodge in Leicester and Wathwood Hospital in Rotherham – plus the high-security Rampton Hospital near Retford.

Peter Mosley, managing director of MITIE’s Technical Facilities Management business, said: “Excellent service, competitive pricing, our range of energy saving solutions and MITIE’s experience of working within secure hospital environments all contributed to us securing this contract.”
