NAHS, institute sign MoU

by Mark Rowe

The National Association for Healthcare Security (NAHS) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Security Institute at IFSEC 2016 in June. Pictured after the signing at the institute’s stand are NAHS chair Jayne King and institute chair Garry Evanson.

The NAHS is running its annual conference on November 10 at Chelsea FC, looking at how to progress after the cutting of the central security management and counter-fraud arm of the National Health Service, NHS Protect, reported in the April 2016 issue of Professional Security.

Background

As background, the NAHS endorses the Healthcare Security Officer Training developed with Jim O’Dwyer of AEGIS Protective Services, as featured in the May 2015 print issue of Professional Security magazine. Skills for Security, the sector training body for the security industry, recently accredited the two e-learning courses.
