Brum contracts

by msecadm4921

MAN Commercial Protection Limited, the manned guarding and event security contractor, has been awarded three new contract wins of more than £1.6 million a year. The Solihull-based company has:

– A long term contract with NHS Birmingham Primary Care Shared Services Agency to provide manned guarding, mobile patrols and key holding services across a range of NHS Primary Care Centres and other properties around Birmingham.

– An extension to its existing short-term contract to supply CCTV monitoring operators and services to Centro (the West Midlands passenger transport authority). Originally won on a short-term basis, MAN Commercial started the service in August 2011, a week before the summer riots. The team provided by MAN Commercial will now be almost doubled in size and the company has been awarded a five year term on its contract.

– A contract to supply concierge and guarding services at three busy office complexes in and around the Solihull area for Paragon Finance plc.

Iain McCallister, managing director of MAN Commercial, said: “As you can imagine we’re delighted with these wins as they are as a result of a lot of hard work to beat off some strong competition from other major competitors. The contracts help to consolidate MAN Commercial’s growing presence in the West Midlands and are a good mix of work in both the public and private sectors. Mind you, if my Team at MAN Commercial thought they were busy in winning the contracts that is nothing compared to the work we are now engaged in preparing to mobilise and start the services: all the contracts start on the same day – April 1!”
