SIA buyers meet

by Mark Rowe

The Security Industry Authority (SIA) is holding a meeting with security buyers on Monday, April 28, in central London. The regulator says that the meeting will provide an opportunity for buyers to hear the latest about regulation of private security, business licensing, SIA enforcement and the Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). There will be no charge to attend the meeting and refreshments will be provided.

Register your interest by emailing [email protected] by April 14 if you would like to attend. You will need to tell organisers:

Your name,
Your occupation/job title,
The company you work for,
Your contact details – at least a telephone number and an e-mail address.

Registering your interest does not guarantee you a place at the meeting as places are limited. Confirmation and further details will be sent by April 17.

Meanwhile the SIA is running spring ACS forums for approved contractors. Days and venues are –

Glasgow – (now fully booked)
Manchester – (now fully booked)
Birmingham – Tuesday 8 April (limited places)
London – Tuesday 15 April (now fully booked)

The proposed agenda includes:
