Royal Warrant for Rapiscan

by Mark Rowe

Rapiscan Systems, a supplier of security inspection systems, has been granted a Royal Warrant of Appointment to Her Majesty The Queen for Security Screening Equipment and Services. The warrant serves as recognition of standards of service from Rapiscan as sole provider of security inspection systems to Royal Households until December 2017.

The Grant of a Royal Warrant signifies a trading relationship with the Royal Household of HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and HRH The Prince of Wales. At present around 800 people or companies hold such warrants.

Since the late 18th Century, Royal Warrants have been granted to over 1,000 individuals and companies from a wide cross-section of British trade and industry, ranging from traditional crafts to high-tech firms.

Frank Baldwin, Managing Director at Rapiscan Systems said: “At Rapiscan Systems, we always endeavour to meet and excel our client’s expectations when it comes to providing effective and efficient security inspections systems. As a supplier to the Royal Households, the grant of a Royal Warrant marks a prestigious occasion for everyone within the company and represents recognition like no other.”

The company’s products are sold into four market segments; Baggage and Parcel Inspection, Cargo and Vehicle Inspection, Hold Baggage Screening and People Screening. The company has an installed base globally of more than 70,000 security and inspection systems deployed in airports, government and corporate buildings, correctional and prison facilities, postal facilities, military zones, sea ports and border crossings.
