Centre chief sought

by Mark Rowe

The Home Office is seeking a Chief Executive to lead the new Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC). According to the UK, the centre is to drive greater collaboration to deliver the Government’s security and resilience requirements and increases UK prosperity by supporting security exports.

JSaRC will be resourced jointly by the Home Office and the UK security sector. Described by Government as a permanent centre of expertise, it will have a cross-Government reach and will work with the Department for Transport, the Foreign Office, Cabinet Office and across the police, Border Force, law enforcement and other agencies.

The Home Office says that it has committed £11m over the next four years to establish the centre, covering the security industry and academia. JSaRC will act as the “front door” for the security sector to access the security machinery of Government. Likely based in Cambridge, the job holder will spend time in London and travel in the UK.

The closing date for applications is Thursday, November 3. See https://www.securityclearedjobs.com/.
