Retail Risk London is the latest event in the series for retail loss prevention and related managers, on Thursday, April 26. It runs as in previous years at Novotel London West, in Hammersmith, W6.

Among the day’s speakers are Colin Stewart, Director of Asset Protection, Abercrombie & Fitch; Jason Hall, Western Europe Senior Manager – Profit Protection, adidas; Stephen Wilkinson, Head of Investigations EMEA & Global Lead on human trafficking investigations, Marriott International, who will cover human trafficking; Detective Chief Inspector Georgie Barnard, Operational Lead, the National Business Crime Centre; Henry Johnstone, Business & Operations Manager, Team London Bridge and Tom Harris, Operations Manager, Better Bankside.

Masterclass sessions are also planned: by Marko Ahokas, Regional Director EMEA, StrongPoint, and Edward Woodall, Head of Policy and Public Affairs, at the trade body the Association of Convenience Stores (ACS); Tom A Jenkins – Commercial Projects Manager, Abloy UK on physical security; Sean Taylor – Panasonic Security Solutions, on business analytics; and on cash management, Stephanie Hobley-Lloyd, Senior Channel Account Manager at product company APG Cash Drawer.

As at previous events, there’s an e-commerce and e-risk side to the proceedings; speakers include Matt Attwell, Risk and Client Services Director, the ai Corporation, on building a data-driven approach to loss prevention; Melayna Gabiou, Director of Marketing, Kount; and on online application fraud in the retail finance sector, Dave Eborne, Head of Fraud Prevention, Close Brothers Retail Finance.

Organiser Paul Bessant, pictured, will open the day. Chairing the conference will be Jo Day, Regional Loss Prevention Manager, Amazon; while John Low, Head of Risk and Health & Safety at Game Retail Limited, will chair the e-risk side. An ‘After Show Party’ is running afterwards for networking.
