Non-exec advisor on insurance

by Mark Rowe

VPS has appointed Bill Paton as a non-executive advisor. The firm says Bill will help to develop its insurance strategy and offering across the Group.

Bill has held a variety of senior roles in the insurance industry over the last 30 years. Most recently, Bill worked with RSA as Claims Director for UK and Western Europe. Bill has worked with AXA UK, Zurich and with DAC Beachcroft. Last year, he was awarded the Claims Lifetime Achievement award for his contribution to the development and reputation of general insurance claims in the UK.

David Taylor-Smith, VPS Group CEO said: “VPS is already the market leader in delivering a range of services to insurance companies in the UK. The company is the largest provider of void protection services and emergency glazing services. We want to continue to develop our offering to our customers in the UK and expand our offering across Europe. Bill is uniquely placed to help us develop and implement our plans. We also recognise the challenges this industry is facing, both from increased competition and the digitisation of the market. With Bill’s help, we can ensure we build products and services that support these challenges so that we continue to add value to our customers.”

Bill Paton, pictured, said: “VPS have the professionalism, vision and ambition to successfully expand their services both in the UK and across Europe.”
