A security fogging product company reports that over the last five years its product has thwarted 34 robberies without any injuries to the people exposed. Most importantly, Fog Bandit adds, no activation failures have ever been experienced.
In the majority of cases there have been no stock losses, or just minor losses with a few. These incidents have taken place across the UK including Hampshire, West Sussex, Surrey, London, Middlesex, Berkshire, Birmingham, Lancashire, Cheshire, Yorkshire and Glasgow.
The firm says that their product has helped empower staff to protect themselves and their businesses by creating an element of control in an otherwise control-less and shocking encounter.
The firm points to a best practise approach thanks to its fog:
➢break raiders’ eye contact;
➢push the raider out of the premises;
➢create a curtain of fog in seconds in areas where assets are displayed; and
➢visible Fog Bandit warning notices on public display, as a deterrent.
Removing the criminal’s access to assets can negate or minimise stock loss and damage to property, the product company adds.
